Medical Students
The department has a commitment to provide training to medical students around aspects of sexual health and HIV care, working closely with the medical school to ensure a high professional standard is maintained. This relies on patients being informed that training is ongoing and they are at no obligation to have a trainee doctor present during their consultation. We believe that this experience is invaluable for students in equipping them for their professional future and welcome the opportunity to be involved in their education. Dr Suneeta Soni and Jules Davies (Clinical Educator) are responsible for the 4th year medical students during their placements in the Department. Currently Medical students are in the clinical area on the following days (CNC and Lawson Unit) Monday 2:00pm - 5:00pm Wednesday 2:00pm - 5:00pm Wednesday Evening 5:00pm -8:00pm CNC & Wilde Clinic only Thursday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm If patients prefer not to have a trainee doctor present during consultation then they should inform reception staff on their arrival or the member of the clinic team providing their care.
