HIV-Ed Course

 

The HIV-ed course is run yearly and is a comprehensive 2- day course on HIV for primary care givers (general practitioners, nurse practitioners, district nurses, health advisers etc).It covers HIV epidemiology, HIV prevention, risk assessment and testing, early and late presentations of HIV, appropriate referrals to secondary care and  local referral pathways,basic information on antiretrovirals and safe co-prescribing, and management of co-morbidity.
