Health Advisers

Health Advisers are an important part of the GUM team. We are available to discuss many issues around sexual health and any concerns you may have in a comfortable and confidential space.

Why see a health adviser?

Sexual health is about having a happy, fulfilling and safe sex life. To maintain or improve our sexual health it helps to get hold of accurate information, and take the time we need to make decisions for ourselves, what we want, what we don't want and how to negotiate for both of these. Sometimes it's easier to talk this through with someone else.

Sexually transmitted infections

Telling your partner(s) you have an infection

Safer sex and condom use (free condoms and lube included)

Getting the sex you want and making it safer

Information about HIV and AIDS

Having an HIV test

Support if HIV positive

Information and testing for Hepatitis A, B and C

Support, assessment and referral for counselling for any issues relating to sexual health (e.g sexual assault, sexuality issues, relationship difficulties)
